The mission of the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is to provide statewide leadership, coordination, and technical assistance to promote effective state and local efforts and partnerships in California's adult and juvenile criminal justice system, including providing technical assistance and coordination to local governments related to 2011 public safety realignment.   • The Budget proposes nine positions to be funded from existing resources for research activities, the administration of the local jail construction financing program authorized by Chapter 42, Statutes of 2012 (SB 1022), and other administrative functions necessary for the Board to operate as an independent entity.
