8385 Citizens' Compensation Commission

The California Citizens' Compensation Commission is responsible for setting the salaries and benefits for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Legislators, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Insurance Commissioner, and Board of Equalization members.

The seven-member Commission meets annually, no later than June 30, to determine if any changes should be made to the salaries and benefits of the state's elected officials. The decisions of the Commission become effective the first Monday in December following the annual meeting. More.....
